Lady Hawks - Getting Their Game On!

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

Thats right our social Women pulled one out of the bag. With a full team they showed us what they could do passing to a solid win. its good to see success is there to grab throughout the whole club.

The Arrows with a disapinting draw after another stunning goal from kathryn they were just short everytime in the attacking D, step it up next week girls get back on form and do us proud once more!

On a general note:

RAFFLE BOOKS AND MONEY DUE BACK AT PRACTICE ON TUESDAY.

Also the Alfriston Arrow’s vs Indians Lady’s game on Sunday has been defaulted by the opposition.

Congratulations

Friday, July 30th, 2010

Well done to our Arrows team and our Eagles team for thier results over the weekend.

The Arrows have drawn 2-2 with the PISC the first team not to loose to them so far in the competition, well done lady’s we look forward to the next time when we hope you will pull through with a win.

It was an extremly fast paced, exciting, high pressure game. Kathryn and Janine both with stunning goals, and Tracey in goal playing out if her skin. All the spectators cheered on our girls as did the teams who played the games before and after, and they were not disapointed as each player stepped up for the challange. Pukekohe United congradulated us with the coment “it was the best game we have seen all season!” So congratulations on your hard fought draw.

Our Alfriston Eagles who played the game before also had an excellent game winning very thoroughly with a 5-0 score, keep improving girls and you will be giving our Arrows a run for their money.

Well done to the forward line for reminding the hockey ball where it belongs in the back of the goal. A mention goes to Abbey for her precision drag around the keeper and to Christina for her juggling on the post. Also to the solid defence who cancelled any break aways the opposition had in mind. It was great to see your screens coming together and all that work at practice paying off. Keep it up girls with a double header coming up!
